1. What OTPX is for
People use OTPX for good reasons, for example to:
- keep their personal phone number and inbox private when signing up for apps and websites;
- verify accounts for a business, brand or team without tying them to an employee’s SIM;
- test sign-up and verification flows in software they develop;
- receive a code when travelling or when their own number can’t receive SMS.
You must always follow the law and the terms of the platform you are verifying with.
2. What is not allowed
You must not use OTPX, directly or through the API, to:
- commit or help commit fraud, scams, phishing, or financial crime, including opening accounts in someone else’s name;
- impersonate any person, business or government body;
- get around identity, age or KYC checks, sanctions, or bans placed on you by a platform or by law;
- harass, threaten, stalk or exploit anyone, or anything involving the sexual exploitation of children;
- send spam, run bulk fake-account farms, or post fake reviews, likes, followers or votes;
- abuse sign-up bonuses, referral schemes, promotions or free trials in breach of their terms;
- access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- buy, sell or trade accounts created with OTPX numbers where that breaks the platform’s terms;
- resell OTPX numbers or API access as your own service without our written agreement;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or test its security without our permission;
- submit payment references that aren’t yours, or launder money through your wallet.
3. What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious the breach is, we may:
- warn you, cancel orders, or limit your access to certain services or the API;
- suspend or close your account;
- withhold balance connected to fraud or serious misuse, to the extent the law allows;
- report illegal activity to, and cooperate with, law-enforcement authorities.
See our Terms of Service and Refund Policy for more detail.
4. Reporting abuse
If you believe an OTPX number or mailbox has been used to harm you, email [email protected] with the number or address, the date and time, and what happened. We review every report and act where the rules have been broken.
